MANGALYAAN (mission on mars)
                                         


 ISRO(Indian space research organisation)launched PSLV C25 rocket to mars on nov 5 2013.The mission is named as mangalyaan . PSLV C25 successfuly inserted the satelite into mars orbit on sep 4 2014 .India is the fourth country to achived this milestone.

Only country which succed at its first attempt.The other countries made this achivement are America's NASA ,Russia and European Agency.

Duration : 298 days

Launch site: satish dawan space centre , sriharikota , andhra pradesh , india

Weight: 1337.2 kg

Satellite cost:₹153 crore (US$23 million)

Total cost: ₹454 crore (US$67 million)

LORD OF SUPERSONIC MISSILES
