Land of Mangoes

Mangoes are juicy fruit belongs to the family  genus magnifera . They are rich in vitamin C and vitamin D edible too . They are mostly grown in wild . India is the country cultivating nearly 1000 varities of mangoes . Indian's are the largest exporter of mangoes in the world . In,that i have listed top ten mango varities in india . 


1. Alphonso  : It is known as "king of mangoes" . It is rich in  vitamin A and vitamin  C . It is largely cultivated in the district of maharashtra , mumbai . Alphonso also available in Ecuador , Pakistan , United states , Egypt , Sudan and Nepal .




2. Badami : Badami is available in the region of karnataka . It is also called as karnataka alphonso , the taste is similar to the alphonso available in maharastra district .


3. Chaunsa : Chaunsa ia an tasty fruit produced in the region of mirpur khas of sindh in punjab of pakistan .


4. Dasheri : Dasheri is an delicious fruit produced in northern parts of india . Malihabad in uttar pradesh is the largest producer of "dasheri mango" .


5. Kesar : Kesar mango is simply called as "gir kesar" because cultivar grown in the foothills of girnar in the districts of  junagadh and amreli .


6. Langra : Langra is the prominent variety of mango and one of the superior varities of mango  from the north indian sub continent . Langra is originally from near varnasi , uttar pradesh 


7. Mulgoba : Mulgoba is largely produced in tamilnadu and other parts of south india . It is known as alphonso of south india 


8. Neelam : Neelam is cultivated in the parts of hyderabad , andhra pradesh . They are mostly abundant in month of june .


9. Raspuri : Raspuri is an oval shape mango and juicy . Considered as the "queen of mangoes" in india . Peddarasalu or Raspuri as known in karnataka .


10. Banganapalli : Banganapalli is known as "The king of south indian mangoes" . Large in shape weighed upto 300 - 400 grams . Available in the region of Andhra pradesh .
